About JUNI

JUNI is a federally designated Startup Factory building science-based spin-offs in Life Sciences, DeepTech, and GreenTech across Berlin-Brandenburg. We run JUNI Mitte, a coworking space in Berlin-Mitte, and operate a growing technical estate — meeting-room AV, access control, cloud printing, digital signage, a segmented office network, and a broad SaaS environment.

The estate is built and runs well. This role takes it to the next level.

We're looking for an experienced operator to own our technical operations end-to-end and mature them — keeping the physical estate running day-to-day, bringing security and policy to the IT environment, and holding enough network competence to diagnose and fix faults rather than wait on external contractors.

This is a senior role with real ownership. You'll report to our Head of Product & Tech and work self-directed against a shared roadmap — trusted to run your domain, set your own priorities, and be relied on to drive things forward without daily direction.

Your mission

  1. Coworking technical operations. Meeting-room AV and conferencing, electronic access control, cloud printing, digital signage, and tenant device and access provisioning. When something breaks, you fix it — you don't escalate and wait.

  2. Network infrastructure. Our office runs a segmented network on managed switching. You'll diagnose and resolve faults hands-on — segmentation, DHCP, time-sync and egress issues, switch-level troubleshooting — and own the relationship with any external network support.

  3. IT administration. Administration of our Google Workspace environment, mobile device management (MDM) for an all-Mac fleet, SaaS stack administration, and full joiner/mover/leaver lifecycle including secure offboarding.

  4. IT governance and security. Build what we're ready to put in place: security reviews, an app-usage and tooling policy for the team, technical and organisational measures (TOMs) for data protection, and documented operational procedures. You'll work alongside our data protection function on DSGVO-aligned governance.

Your profile

  1. At least three years in an IT operations, systems administration, or technical operations role where you owned infrastructure independently.

  2. Hands-on network competence — you can read a segmented network topology, diagnose a DHCP or time-sync fault, and configure a managed switch without a vendor holding your hand.

  3. Google Workspace administration and comfort in an all-Apple/Mac environment — we don't run Windows. Plus MDM experience and the ability to learn new platforms fast.

  4. A governance instinct — you write the policy before you're asked, you document as you go, and you treat security and data protection as part of the job, not an afterthought.

  5. Proactive and self-determined. You'll be managed and supported, but we're not looking for someone who waits for instructions. We want an operator who takes ownership of their domain, drives it forward, raises what matters, and sets the standard rather than asking what it should be.

We offer

A Startup Factory environment with real technical ownership from day one, a running estate to mature and improve, and the autonomy of being the single owner of a domain that matters to 150+ people daily. On-site at JUNI Mitte in Berlin-Mitte.
